Keeping Climate Change in the Crosshairs

Following yet another summer of record heat, climate change received only a brief mention in last night’s presidential debate. In Silicon Valley, Apple’s 2024 event spent just a few minutes on the carbon impact of its products, as compared with the lengthy features of years past.

If this is a trend, we don’t like where it’s heading. With 2024 halfway over and many miles to go towards our climate goals, it’s more important than ever to share news, gatherings, and resources that help push our collective climate agenda forward.

On August 29th, the inaugural 9Zero Hero Award event was held before a sold-out crowd of 150 at 350 California Street, who were electrified by the presentation of the award to Tom Steyer. His son, Sam Steyer, delivered a moving introduction, and an action-packed panel on climate finance underscored the evening's profound impact on climate action and sustainability.
